The Comprehensive English Language Learning Assessment is a four-part test designed to measure language acquisition for English language learners in grades K-12. Designed to meet state standards for Florida, the test measures speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.
Pros: Assesses higher-order thinking • Takes students a reasonable amount of time to complete
Pros: Results returned quickly
Cons: Difficult to administer
I administered this test for about three years as a state assessment. It is a good exam, however, it is quite lengthy. Good for assessing your students' learning level. Security measures are very HIGH for this assessment.
